After months of speculation and hype the moment has finally come and it was definitely one to remember. When Beyoncé approached the field during the SuperBowl 50 halftime show, she had a strong political message to announce.

 Beyoncé and her dancers were dressed in all black leather, resembling the Black Panthers. Beyoncé was surrounded by dancers who sported afros and black berets. Beyoncé’s outfit was also a nod to Michael Jackson.

At one point during the performance the backup dancers and Beyoncé gave a salute, and formed an X formation, which was thought to be a reference to Malcom X.
