Why Shonda Rhimes is a TV Goddess
You may have heard of the super successful writer and executive producer Shonda Rhimes. If you haven’t heard of her, you’ve probably heard of the shows Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal or How To Get Away With Murder.
Her shows have received countless accolades over the years including 45 Emmy Nominations for Grey’s Anatomy, six for Scandal, and two for How To Get Away with Murder including the groundbreaking win for Viola Davis for her role as Annalise Keating.
Shonda is a great inspiration for many young women who would like to get into writing or producing especially to the kids here at Crete-Monee. In fact, Shonda Rhimes is from University Park! However while she attended Marian Catholic, she’s from the same town that many of us are from. She’s walked the same streets and she’s become successful.
New episodes of Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, and How to Get Away with Murder premiere every thursday night as a part of ABC’s TGIT (Thank God Its Thursday) lineup at 7pm,8pm, and 9pm.
