Best High School Memory: Basketball Conference

My best high school memory was when Crete played Rich South for the Basketball Conference Title in 2015, my junior year. The seats were packed. Even South’s side was crowded. Both teams had the same record, and this was the tie breaker. Tyler Williams led the way with 25 points, and gave Crete a 15 point lead in the fourth. That was the first time I’ve seen a suburban school come together. It reminded me of the Simeon games I used to attend. Every bucket was crucial to us, and when Jonathan Armstrong dunked at the buzzer, the crowd went crazy. Moments like that are hard to forget.
