You should go all out for prom. Girls should spend at least $500 at the most on a dress. Maybe about $150 on your shoes, and not much on jewelry. Also, hair and make-up would be about $150. Plus, your nails and feet $60. A limo is not an option for me, but maybe you would spend less because you'll have others riding and paying with you. A car rental might be $500 a day at the most, so you and your date can go half.
